Maxine E. Lecomte

June 25, 1921 — September 21, 2003

Maxine E. LeComte, 82, of 18783 Shippen Street, Meadville, died at home, Sunday, September 21, 2003.

She was born in Guys Mills, June 25, 1921 a daughter of Clayton and Patty Smith Wygant.  She married Elmer “Bud” LeComte April 12, 1958 and he preceded her in death February 16, 2001.

She was a 1940 graduate of Meadville High School.

She enjoyed reading and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors, include: three sons, James Fargo and his wife Tina of Meadville, Alton Fargo and his wife Janice of Conneaut Lake and John Fargo and his wife Prayoon of Bangkok, Thailand; a daughter, Diane Jamison and her husband Richard of Cochranton; two step-sons, Danny LeComte and his wife Beverly of Meadville and Thomas LeComte and his wife Mary of Wadena, MN; twelve grandchildren, Lisa Fargo, Mike Fargo, Tiffany Morris, Tom Fargo, Tami Perez, Michelle Estadt, Andrea Deyell, Jenny Dowis, Jason LeComte, Amanda LeComte, Jintana Fargo and Matt Fargo, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Fargo and 12 brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.  The funeral and committal service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William L. Brown, Assoc. Minister of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
