Maysie M. Shoemaker

February 24, 1899 — February 2, 1978

Mrs. Maysie M. Shoemaker, 78, a patient of Mead Nursing Home for four and a half years, widow of W. Thomas Shoemaker, died Thursday, February 2, 1978, at City Hospital after a two-week illness.

Born in Clarion County, February 24, 1899, she was a daughter of Isaac and Ida Randolph Rush.  She was first married to William Boyer.  She married Shoemaker in 1942.  He died in 1964.  She was a member of Harmonsburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lowry (Helen) Rifenberrick of Meadville; a son, Wilson Boyer of Rancho Cordova, CA; a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (Vee) Hamilton of Amherst, OH; a stepson, Jack Shoemaker of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Olive Switzer of Rimersburg; a brother, Wilbur Rush of Sewickley; twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A son, Dale, died in 1960.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
