Melody Lynn Benson

Melody Lynn Benson, 53, of Guys Mills, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born December 24, 1953 in Meadville, a daughter of Mark J. and Betty Louise Kinnear Dworshak.

Melody was a 1971 graduate of Randolph High School and a graduate of the Wil-Mar Beauty School in Meadville.  She had worked as a beautician for over 30 years and was co-owner of The Style Shop, Meadville for over 20 years.  She additionally worked as an independent carrier for the Meadville Tribune.  She enjoyed traveling, listening to country western music, and was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include a son, Mark P. Benson of Guys Mills; her father, Mark J. Dworshak of Guys Mills; several cousins; and 2 Aunts.  She was preceded in death by her mother.

Calling hours are today (Friday) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral and committal service will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Temple Jarrell, Pastor of First Church of God officiating.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
