Melvin Arthur Reinhart, 82, of Conneaut Lake, passed away peacefully Monday, October 3, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 6, 1940 in Springboro, a son of Charles (Ike) and Ruth (MacBeth) Reinhart. He married Shirley Ellen Leckie August 14, 1964.
Melvin was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from April 1961 to April 1964 as a Radio Teletype Operator with the Hg. Co. 2nd Bn. 70th Armor in Germany. He retired from Meadville Tool Grinding in 2002 where he worked as a machinist. Melvin also managed Hardwood Estates in Conneaut Lake for the past ten years.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Shirley, include three children, JoMarie (Philip) Burchard, Steven (Cindy) Reinhart, and Stacy (Mark) Hellwig; nine grandchildren, Trent (Shana) Burchard, Andrea (Steve) Floch, Amber (Jake) Steiger, Shiloh Reinhart, Adison Reinhart (Natalie), Jazper Reinhart, Sybastien Reinhart, Mercedes (Jamal) Thomas, and Alexus Hellwig (Brandon); five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barb Leckie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard, Russell, and Duane Reinhart; and a sister, Evelyn Reinhart.
There will be no public services with private interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
