Melvin C. Bossard

February 4, 1897 — September 26, 1948

Melvin C. Bossard, 51, of Meadville, Neason Hill, died Sunday morning at Spencer Hospital, where he was a surgical patient.

A lifelong Crawford Countian, Mr. Bossard was a chain machine operator for Talon, Inc., for 22 years.  He was a member of the local Eagles lodge, the Italian Civic Club and Taylor-Hope Hose Company.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Briggs Bossard; two sons, Richard and Paul; two step-sons, Jack and Robert Hale, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. John Jannot of Meadville, Mrs. Sam Kightlinger of Conneaut Lake and Mrs. George Lemon of Blooming Valley.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Harmonsburg Cemetery.
