Melvin M. Klingensmith

Melvin M. (Pete) Klingensmith, 80, of Meadville, a patient at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, died Sunday, June 4, 1989, at the nursing home following an illness of several months. Mr. Klingensmith was born in Lexington, KY, January 4, 1909, a son of Levi and Nora Adams Klingensmith. He married Mildred Gates November 26, 1947. She survives. He retired in 1974 from the former FMC Corps as a spinner after 40 years of service. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include five daughters, Mrs. Clifton (Wanda) Hart of Fort Wayne, IN, Mrs. Nile (Bonnie) Hunter of Meadville, Mrs. Harry (Carol) Kline of Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Robert (Cindy) Pruskowski of Cochranton and Mrs. Chester (Debbie) Conley of Jamestown; one son, Daniel Klingensmith of Warren, OH; one brother, Ben C. Klingensmith of Hemet, CA; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Duane, one brother, Willard Klingensmith and one granddaughter. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
