Merigene G. Pyle

Merigene G. Pyle, 77, of Meadville, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Crawford County Care Center.

She was born in Meadville February 3, 1929, a daughter of the late Howard L. and Hazel Bolster Randall.  She married William R. Pyle October 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death September 6, 2003.

She worked in customer service at the former Spauldings, Inc., Meadville for 25 years, retiring in 1994.  She previously worked in the physical therapy department of Meadville City Hospital.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, its bible study group, and its “ladies day out” group.  She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and especially enjoyed raising her family.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Kathleen Burnett and her husband Paul of Meadville; Kimberly (Kim) Marvin and Larry of Meadville; and Melissa (Missy) Bessey and her husband Butch of Palmyra, NY; 2 sons, Thomas L. Pyle and his wife Denise of North East and Jon Scott Pyle and his wife Nancy of Meadville; 5 grandchildren, Meghan Ghani, Meredith Seiler, Daniel and Heather Marvin, and Michael Pyle; several step-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jibraan and Saara Ghani.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Randy Pyle.

Calling hours are today (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph St., Meadville.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Douglas Messerall, Pastor officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
