Michael A. Barnholdt, 50, of Poplar Street, Meadville, died Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born December 21, 1952 in Meadville.
He began his working life in 1970 with the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired in 2003 with the Norfolk Southern railroad after 33 years of service. During his railroad career, he worked as a pipe fitter, welder and superintendent.
He was a 1970 graduate of Meadville High School and was a member of Meadville Eagles Aerie #429 and the Italian Civic Club. He also was an avid gun collector.
Survivors, include a daughter, Melissa Beebe of Meadville; a grandson, Nicholas Wazner; his mother and step-father, Ann and Phil Reasbeck of Hollywood, FL; three step-sisters, Kim, Toni and Amy; caregiver and good friend, Robert Wagner of Meadville; care-giver and cousin, Sandra Infield of Meadville; an aunt, uncle and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his great uncle and aunt who raised him, Elmer and Mildred Rankin.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
