Michael A. "Mike" "Sweetcheeks" Heffern

Michael A. “Mike” “Sweetcheeks” Heffern, 71 of Stoneboro, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Transitions Healthcare Center in Washington, PA. Michael was born in Grove City, on June 16, 1950 to the late Oral Errea and Ruth Heffern.

Mike was a welder by trade and was very passionate about his job. He worked at the former Greenville Steel Car then Trinity, and lastly at Supreme Manufacturing.

Mike enjoyed the simple things in life like driving around, listening to music, and watching for animals and deer. He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. Most of all he loved his family, especially their annual fair picnic where his entire family was around for six days.

Mike married his beloved wife, Susan E. Anderson, on October 28, 1989, she survives at home. He is further survived by his daughters; Wendy Heffern of Polk, Stephanie (Brett) Heckman of Sandy Lake, Chrissy (William) Reynolds of Jackson Center, and Jennifer Law of Greenville, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister; Bonnie Vatter of Jackson Center, brother; Brad (Cindy) Brown of Greenville, and special cousin; Thomas Breese.

In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by a special cousin; James Breese.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 2 pm – 4 pm on Friday, April 22. A Funeral Service will follow visitation at 4 pm with Pastor Janet Pratt officiating.

Interment will be private.

Memorials may be made in Mike’s name to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses, PO Box 245, Stoneboro, PA 16153.
