Michael J. Fernacz, 82, of Conneaut Lake, died Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at his residence following a period of declining health.
He was born September 19, 1919 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late George and Mary Lasic Fernacz. He married Josephine D. Seidel June 18, 1966 and she preceded her in death June 3, 2001.
He worked as a baker for the National Biscuit Co. of Pittsburgh his entire life, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Americas Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and he especially enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include two sisters, Theresa and Alma, both of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Peter, Albert and Nicholas Fernacz and three sisters, Anna, Genivive and Marie.
Services were held with the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
