Mildred J. Dunbaugh

Mildred J. Dunbaugh, 90, of Meadville, died Monday, December 15, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of a few months.

She was born December 13, 1907 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Henry and Ada Perkins Jackson.  She married LeRoy (Roy) Dunbaugh on September 6, 1929.  He preceded her in death on September 29, 1989.

Mrs. Dunbaugh was a 1925 graduate of Allegheny High School, Pittsburgh.  She worked for over 30 years as a legal secretary in the office of attorney Stuart Culbertson and its successor firm Culbertson, Weiss, Schetromma and Schug.  She previously worked for the Pittsburgh Coal Co. and Talon.  She was a member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; past county president of the PA Federation of Women's Clubs; past president of the Literary Club; member of the Legal Secretary' s Assoc.; and had been an active volunteer at the former Meadville City Hospital and its successor Meadville Medical Center, and always enjoyed helping with the bi-annual hospital aux. charity follies.  She also enjoyed bowling.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former church Deacon.  She was a former Sunday School teacher, member of the Ladies Aide Society, founding member of Friendly Couples Class and member of various other church circles.

Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Dunbaugh (Mary) of Dickinson, TX and Donald J. Dunbaugh (Vivien) of Meadville; two sisters, Harriet French of Pensacola, FL and Evelyn Rebele of Cheswick; two brothers, Thomas Jackson of Bethelhem and James Jackson of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ada M. Jackson and a brother, Harry C. Jackson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
