Mildred L. Crago

Mildred L. Crago, 90, of 11864 Maplewood Road, Guys Mills, died Wednesday, June 04, 2003 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born March 18, 1913 in Harmonsburg a daughter of Charles F. and Alice Haubersin Hoyt.  She married J. Adam Crago May 12, 1931 and he preceded her in death July 19, 1979.

She attended Randolph public schools in Guys Mills.

She retired as head cook at Maplewood High School after working 26 years there and at Randolph East Mead High School.  She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.  She received a 50-year pin for perfect voting record and she took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Survivors include: two daughters, Helen Gross of Guys Mills, Alice Humes of Cambridge Springs; five sons, Charles Crago and his wife Nancy of Meadville, Richard Crago of Meadville, Paul Crago of Guys Mills, James Crago and his wife Dorothy of Guys Mills and Robert Crago and his wife Janet of Guys Mills; fourteen grandchildren, Paul Gross, Kathy Beuchat, Rick Humes, Jill Burchfield, Jeffrey Crago, Jody Crago, Ronald Crago, Rick Crago, Brenda Shartle, Todd Crago, Lynette Malinchak, Randy Crago, David Crago and Tricia Skinner; 26 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, four nephews and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Lingo and a brother, Victor Hoyt.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brumagin, officiating.

Burial will be in Wayland Cemetery.
