Mrs. Mildred Louise Tenney, 69, of Meadville, died at Smith Institute, Saegertown, Friday, January 12, 1962, after a year's illness.
She was born at Vermontville, MI, June 17, 1892, a daughter of Luther and Mabel D. Fitch Hess. When she was 13 years old, the family moved to Meadville where she had lived since that time. Her husband, Elmer Tenney, died in 1947.
Mrs. Tenney formerly was employed in the cafeteria at Brooks Hall, Allegheny College, she was a member of First Baptist Church of the New Loyal Class of its Church School. She was a member of Meadville Grange and a former member of Alethea Rebekah Lodge, IOOF; and of the auxiliary to NW Commandry.
She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Muriel Storm and a half brother, A. W. Lewis, both of Franklin.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
