Mildred (Mid) Noel

Mildred (Mid) Noel, 77, of Meadville, died Wednesday, September 11, 1996 at Wesbury United Methodist Community following a period of declining health.

She was born December 9, 1918 in Adrian, Armstrong County, a daughter of the late Frank C. and Carrie Gieser McCollim.  She married Robert W. Noel April 12, 1941.  He survives.

She was a 1937 graduate of Butler High School.  She worked for the family Oil Co. as a bookkeeper for 30 years retiring in 1980.  She was a member of the Crown Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, member and past president of Knights Templar ladies aux., and member and past president of Motor Patrol Ladies.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed golfing and square dancing.

In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Robert L. Noel of Meadville; one daughter, Linda Boyles of Saegertown; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Paul McCollim.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
