Mildred (Millie) Petruna, 95, formerly of Highland Ave., Conneaut Lake and a resident of Rolling Fields, Conneautville, died there Friday, September 10, 2010. She was born June 25, 1915 in McKees Rocks, a daughter of Joseph Karl and Katherine Onyskiw Galan. She married Joseph Petruna May 11, 1938 and he preceded her in death April 25, 1963. She was a graduate of McKees Rocks High School, was a homemaker and formerly worked at the G.C. Murphy Company, Meadville as a sales clerk for 15 years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society and 55-Plus Club. Survivors include a son, Carl Petruna and his wife Joyce of Hadley; a daughter, Eleanor Miller of Salt Lake City, UT; 2 grandchildren, Thomas Miller and his wife Karen of Colorado and Renee Van Artsdalen and her husband Greg of South Carolina; and 1 great-grandchild, Siors Miller. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Michael and Pete Galan and a sister, Nellie Balandiat. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake with a Scripture Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake with Fr. Steve Anderson as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rolling Fields, 9108 State Hwy 198, Conneautville, PA 16406.
