Mildred Jeanette Ray

Mildred Jeanette Ray, 92 of Meadville, passed away at Meadville Medical Center on January 8, 2025.

She was born on January 10, 1932, in Rome Twp, a daughter of Robert & Jennie (McClintock) Stewart. She married Floyd Byron Ray on November 19, 1953. He proceeded her in death on July 13, 2012.

She attended Titusville High School. Mildred worked for Agway as the office manager. She loved to travel with her husband. They traveled to Canada and all but three of the 50 states. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: a son, Roger Ray and his wife Lori of Franklin; a daughter, Sandra Whitman and her husband Dana of Cooperstown; four grandchildren, Easton Ray (Kara), Noah Ray, Megan O’Neil and her husband Justin and Alicia Hargis and her husband Joshua; great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Elliana, Adrian, Fiona, Reagan, Nevaeh, and Jase; a brother Robert Stewart and sister, Beatrice Fahnestock and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Stewart and three sisters, J. Kathryn Hofius, Margaret Lokar, and Marian Hasbrouck.

Private family services will be held at the ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME, INC., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with the Rev. Kendra Balliet, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens, Cranberry, PA.
