Mildred Ruth Sanderson

Mrs. Mildred Ruth Sanderson, 61, wife of Lyle L. Sanderson of Meadville, died at her home Thursday, December 13, 1962, after a long illness.

Mrs. Sanderson was born in Conneaut Township, October 17, 1901, a daughter of Fred and Alta Penfield Manning.  She lived in the Linesville area before moving to Meadville 34 years ago.  She was employed by Talon, Inc., for several years, retiring four years ago.  She married Mr. Sanderson, November 26, 1918.  He was a well-known Meadville barber, retiring recently.

Mrs. Sanderson was a Gold Star Mother and a member of the American Legion Aux. and First Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Milford W. of Meadville; a brother, George R. Manning of Conneauville and three grandchildren, Preston Lee Sanderson, in the Air Force in Texas, and Blake and Cynthia Sanderson, both of Meadville.

A daughter, Merceda L. and two sons, Leland L. and Daryl K., preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Linesville Cemetery.
