Miss Mildred Willard, 93, a former resident of Presbyterian Home, Cambridge Springs, died Thursday, October 28, 1976, at Mead Nursing Home.
A daughter of William and Lucretia Spencer Willard, she was born June 12, 1883, in Saegertown. Miss Willard, a graduate of Saegertown public schools and former Edinboro State Normal School, taught school for several years in Armstrong County. She was employed five years with Bell Telephone Co. in Meadville. From 1926-1948, she was associated with Northwest Bell Telephone Co. in Belle Fourche, SD. She returned to Meadville in 1953 where she resided until moving to Presbyterian Home.
She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Gravel Run Presbyterian Church in Woodcock Borough; Telephone Pioneers of America, Casper E. Yost Chapter of Rapid City, SD.
Survivors include a nephew, John W. Tracy of Meadville.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
