Millicent Harris

December 15, 1917 — February 6, 1978

Mrs. Millicent Harris, 60, of Meadville, widow of Bernard (Bucky) Harris, died Monday, February 6, 1978, at City Hospital after an illness of several months.

Born in Motherwell, Scotland, December 15, 1917, she was a daughter of Thomas and Emily Jane White Stewart.  She married Harris October 5, 1946.  He died in 1972.

A member of First Presbyterian Church, and the church's women's society, she taught kindergarten Sunday school class for several years.  She was a volunteer in the Meals on Wheels program, a volunteer registrar for Penn Lakes Council, Girl Scouts of America, a member of Gallivanters, Meadville Women's Club and Meadville Country Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Craig (Millicent) Woods of Wickliffe, OH and Mrs. Paul (Nancy) O'Reilly of Pembroke, MA; a brother, Edwin Stewart of St. Clair Shores, MI and a grandson, Nathan Woods.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
