Milton W. Walker, 73, of Meadville, died Tuesday, September 18, 1990, at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of two years.
He was born in Grant Township, Indiana County, on November 7, 1916, a son of Frank F. and Emma V. Houck Walker. He married S. Edith Buterbaugh on August 2, 1941. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1990.
He retired from Meadville School District as a business education teacher at Meadville High School after 35 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1938 with a bachelor of arts degree in education. While at IUP he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma social fraternity, Pi Omega Pi scholastic fraternity and Alpha Tau Gamma business fraternity. He obtained a masters in education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1945.
Survivors include two sons, Larry B. Walker of Cranesville and Randy B. Walker of Meadville; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Galen Walker.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
