Minnie H. Ervin

Minnie H. Ervin, 94, who had resided at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Daisy) Shartle of Meadville, died at home on Wednesday, August 7, 1974.  She had been in failing health for two months.

Mrs. Ervin was born at Green Bank, WV, on July 30, 1880, a daughter of Henry and Rachel Gillispie Sheets.  On November 6, 1901, she married Leslie H. Ervin who died in 1963.  Mrs. Ervin was a member of Lyona Community Church.

Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Shartle, include three other daughters, Mrs. Henry (Valera) Tharett of Shaker Heights, OH, Mrs. Clyde (Medeline) Patty of Castro Valley, CA and Mrs. Charles (Doris) Myers of San Jose, CA; a son, Fred R. of Guys Mills; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by four sons, two daughters and one granddaughter.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lyona Cemetery.
