Minnie I. Wilmarth, 85, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there Wednesday, October 29, 1997, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Carbondale, PA, April 28, 1912, a daughter of the late Tylman and Lovelace Emmett Moon. She married Gerald L. Wilmarth, September 30, 1933. They had just recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher. She was also a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and she was an excellent cook and seamstress. She worked as office manager for twelve years for Dr. Robert J. Gilardi.
Survivors in addition to her husband, include a son, Charles Wilmarth of Marietta, GA; two granddaughters, Mrs. Cheryl W. Boza of Ocoee, FL and Mrs. Amy L. Caple of Athens, GA; a sister, Mrs. Esther Reid of Dickson City, PA and a brother, Edgar W. Moon of West Palm Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ira E. Moon.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
