Mrs. Minta E. Hanna, 86, mother of local architect Edwin S. Hanna, died Wednesday afternoon at the Heaster Convalescent Home, Conneautville, after a long illness.
Mrs. Hanna, who had resided with her son of Meadville, spent her early life at Sharon. She taught in the Sharon public schools for a number of years before her marriage in 1893. After her marriage she resided in Pittsburgh until 1923 when she returned to Sharon. She came to live with her son in Meadville in 1946.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving besides her son are another, son, W. M. Hanna of Bellevue; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon.
