Mnetha E. Werley, 93, of Meadville, died Saturday, April 15, 1995, at her residence.
She was born in Crawford County, December 2, 1901, a daughter of H. Eugene and Janette Parker Lenhart. She married Henry E. Werley April 27, 1926. He preceded her in death June 9, 1974.
She worked as a buyer in the gift department of the former Crawford Store from 1948-1967. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Meadville.
She was a member of the 55 Plus Club, Gallivanters, Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Trinity White Shrine, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and was a former member of the Ladies Advisory Committee of Meadville City Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Edward E. Werley of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Shannon and Mrs. Robert (Noreen) Stein, both of Meadville; six grandchildren, including Mrs. Theodore (Kathleen) KeWeese of Meadville and Daniel Smith of Watertown, NY, whom she helped raise; three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lelah Patterson and Marjorie Thomas and one brother, Harold Lenhart.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
