Mollie Jane Smith

Mrs. Mollie Jane Smith, 86, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Sunday evening, February 11, 1973, after a long illness.  She had been hospitalized one month.

Born in Fairfield County, OH, August 26, 1886, she was a daughter of Samuel and Margaret Friesner Reedy.  She was the widow of Hiram Smith who died in 1958.  Mrs. Smith was a member of Wayland Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. W. C. (Bessie L.) Trout of Meadville, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Southall of Blooming Valley and Mrs. James (Eleanor) Hamilton of Hunlock Creek; two sons, Ira S. Smith of Meadville and Stanley M. Smith of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Weldon of Millersport, OH; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Smith Cemetery, East Mead Township.
