Mollie M. Obagy, 87, of Blooming Valley Boro, died Sunday, November 17, 2002 at the Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Thompson, PA September 4, 1915 a daughter of Joseph and Eva Odorcic Popovich. She married Albert W. Obagy, Sr. June 20, 1935 and he preceded her in death January 1, 1986.
She was affiliated with the New Richmond United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Lyona Friendship Club and New Richmond Grange. She enjoyed gardening and preserving her fruit and vegetables.
Survivors, include three daughters, Evelyn McGowan of Guys Mills, Charlotte Pratt of Guys Mills and Karen Willey and her husband James of Guys Mills; a special little friend, Bethany Pratz; a sister, Amanda Leaver of Waukesha, WI; six grandchildren, Debra Kent, Brenda Zuber, Brian Pratt, Ora Willey, Alan Willey and Rick Willey; 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Albert (Bill) Obagy, Jr.; a sister, Julia Komar and two brothers, Frank Popovich and George Popovich.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Sarah Roncolato, Pastor of New Richmond United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden.
