Mona V. Marquess

Mona V. Marquess, 74, of Guys Mills, died Tuesday, December 5, 1995 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health.

She was born May 5, 1921 in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late Bernard J. and Mary Lynn Nelson.  She married Lloyd Marquess on November 17, 1945.  He survives.

Mrs. Marquess was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid gardener.  She was a member of St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Murphy of San Carlos, CA; four sisters, Molly Kluge of Buffalo, NY, Eileen Reid of Fort Erie, Canada, Joan Falconer of Simcoe, Canada and Betty Trotmen of Hamilton, Canada; one brother, Bernard Nelson of Fort Erie; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Royer and two brothers, John and Robert Nelson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
