Morey Hoovler, 82, a resident of Smith Institute, Saegertown since June 1967, died there Thursday, May 21, 1970, after a long illness.
He was born in Wilmington Township, Lawrence County, October 26, 1887, a son of Mathias and Annetta Anderson Hoovler. He never married.
Mr. Hoovler was employed as a storeroom clerk at Westinghouse Corp., Sharon until he retired in 1952. From 1955 to 1967, he resided at Guys Mills with a niece, Mrs. Thomas (Lillian) Hesketh.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge at West Middlesex.
Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. Hesketh of Edinboro, Mrs. Donald (Lucille) Keil of New Castle and Mrs. Wallace (Charlotte) Mercer of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in West Middlesex Cemetery.
