Morris J. Baldwin, 93, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since 1989 and formerly of Clarion, PA, died Friday, January 04, 2002 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born in Guys Mills, January 6, 1908 a son of the late Rev. Wilbur J. and Agnes L. Wygant Baldwin. He married Alice H. Henzi Sept. 10, 1937 and she preceded him in death December 1, 1988.
He retired in 1973 as a Trust Officer after 44 years of service with the Citizen Trust Co. and its successor banks in Clarion.
He attended Taylor Univ., Upland, Mich., and then Clarion State College, Clarion, PA, and was a member of the Clarion Borough Civil Service Commission. He also was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion where he served on numerous boards and committees and was Treasurer of the Building Fund for 25 years.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. Norman F. Baldwin and his wife Nona of Wakefield, RI; Thomas G. Baldwin of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; and James W. Baldwin of State College, PA; and two sisters, Esther Steele and Aleta Zuck both of Meadville. He was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Clarence Baldwin.
The family will receive friends at Cribbs Home Library of Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ellen Rezek, Wesbury Chaplain and Rev. Gerald Murphy, retired United Methodist Clerygman.
Burial will be in Clarion Cemetery. Clarion.
