Muriel P. Walls

Muriel P. (Mickie) Walls, 80, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, where she has resided since Feb. 2001. She was born in Meadville August 10, 1922, a daughter of James Henry & Lina Mae Steele Mathews. She married Paul Edward (Ed) Walls December 13, 1943, and he preceded her in death April 17, 2001. She was a 1940 graduate of Meadville High School, and was a member of VFW Post 2006 Auxiliary. She was an avid sports enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include 2 daughters, Sandra L. Burns, and her husband Jack of Meadville, and Patricia A. Rossi, and her companion Jeff Mosbacher of Meadville, 2 sons, Jack I. Walls and his wife Patricia of Meadville, and William E. Walls and is wife Juanita of Conneautville, 8 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a sister, Charlotte Ours of Meadville and nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers, and 1 sister, Margaret McCracken. A private family funeral and committal service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St., with the Rev. Gerald Murphy, retired United Methodist Clergyman, officiating. Burial will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery, East Mead Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crawford County Care Center, 20881 State Hwy.#198, Saegertown, PA 16433.
