Myrtle Daniels Dennig, 100, a five year resident of Wesbury, died there Friday, November 12, 1993.
She was born in Stickney, PA, November 30, 1892, a daughter of the late James and Lillian Dell Elderkin Daniels. She married the Rev. Charles Augustus Dennig, April 24, 1934. He preceded her in death in October 1935.
She was a graduate of the Bradford public schools and first worked in the accounting office of General Electric Co. of Erie. This position took her to Spain, where she did translating for General Electric International for a period of time. Following the death of her husband, she returned to Tionesta taking employment with an Attorney in the Court House there. In 1964, she retired to Meadville, where she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the DAR; Past Worthy Matron of the Tidioute Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a niece, Helen Scalise, Erie; and four nephews, Daniel, Robert, and Thomas Leech of Meadville and James Daniels of Longview, TX.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche Leech and Iva Daniels and one brother, Clyde Daniels.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Oakland Cemetery.
