Myrul E. Burrows, 80, of Cochranton, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 16, 2013.
He was born July 6, 1932 in Grantsville, WV a son of Wattie A. and Bertha Fredrick Burrows. He married Luella Jean Hanshaw July 22, 1949 and she survives.
He worked as Plant Maintenance Manager for Meadville Forging Company, retiring in 1997 after 20 years of service. Previously, he worked for Steel Improvement and Forge Co. in Cleveland, OH for 27 years.
He was a member of McDaniels Corners Bible Church and he enjoyed hunting, golfing and traveling with his wife.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Jean of 63 years, include: a son, Myrul R. Burrows and his wife Dale of Guys Mills; two daughters, Linda J. Mast and her husband Steven of Cochranton and Laura J. Burrows of Willoughby, OH; five grandchildren, John Burrows, Michael Burrows, Jason Burrows, Alex Lemon and Sarah Gorby; five great grandchildren, Rachel Burrows, Brienna Burrows, Abagail Gorby, Dennis Aaron Lemon and Lydia Burrows; a sister, Reva Hanshaw of Medina, OH and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Thrul Burrows, Clifford Burrows, Byrul Burrows, Gerald Burrows and Earl Burrows and five sisters, Geneva Burrows, Leota Leslie, Virginia Lee Burrows, Oleta Dye and Juanita Heffler.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
The funeral service will be private for the family with the Rev. Adam Almaroad, Pastor of McDaniels Corners Bible Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 10415 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
