Nancy A. Ritchey

Nancy A. Ritchey, 76, of 24298 State St., Meadville, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Warren September 13, 1930, a daughter of Fern and Margaret Speas Johnson.  She married Frederick B. Ritchey July 21, 1984.

She was a 1948 graduate of Warren High School and worked at the former J & J Food Service in the meat packaging department for 13 years.  She subsequently worked as a dietary aid for 4 years at the Crawford County Care Center, retiring in 1993.  She was a former Blooming Valley Auditor and loved camping, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Fred of 23 years, include a daughter, Daphne Waid and her husband Norman of Meadville; a son James Moyer and his wife Julie of Meadville; her mother, Margaret Johnson of Cochranton; 2 step-daughters, Teresa McCullom and her husband Edward of Townville and Diana Huntsberger and her husband Tim of Mongolia; a stepson, Joseph Ritchey of Meadville; 4 sisters, Carol Gregory and her husband Clifford of Sacramento, CA; Patricia Deeter of Cochranton; Linda McIntyre and her husband Michael of Cochranton; and Sandy Bogardus and her husband Dale of Guys Mills; 2 brothers, Robert Johnson and his wife Carolyn of Cochranton and Thomas Johnson and his wife Patricia of Conneaut Lake; 1 grandson, Christopher James Moyer; 10 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Rial, officiating.

Interment will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
