Nancy J. Silata, 85 of Mercer, passed away on June 5, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital. Nancy was born in Ozona, FL, on December 3, 1935 to the late Clyde and Minnie (Barlow) Williams. She met her beloved husband, Elmer Silata and moved to PA. They married on March 10, 1954, he preceded her in death on March 22, 2012. Nancy worked for many years at her husband’s business, Elmers Service Station in Sandy Lake. She also owned and operated for many years the Jackson Center Dairy Isle. In her spare time, she enjoyed mowing the lawn and tending to her vegetable garden. She also enjoyed watching old western movies. Nancy is survived by her grandson, Shawn Silata and companion Jaclyn Myers of Mercer, and good friend and adopted granddaughter, Hope Ansell of Stoneboro. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of SANDY LAKE, 3236 S. Main Street, where family and friends are welcome from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, June 9, a funeral service will follow visitation at 7 pm at the funeral home.
