Nancy Kay Brace

Nancy Kay Brace of Meadville, died Wednesday, September 1, 1999, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Bradford, September 24, 1936, a daughter of William C. and Mariam Alaskey Senior.

She was a 1954 graduate of Bradford Area Senior High School and a 1957 graduate of Hamot Hospital School of Nursing, Erie.  She was a registered nurse and had worked for A.M. Langdon, V.D.M., Inc. and Samuel Gottlieb, M.D.  She was subsequently employed by Meadville Medical Center from 1980-1995, the last 12 years as a surgical nurse.  She retired from Meadville Medical Center because of the cancer, which eventually claimed her life.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville.

Survivors, in addition to her mother of Meadville, include two daughters, Diane King (Darren) of Meadville and Dr. Patricia L. Brace of Marshall, Minn.; two sons, Michael K. Brace (Grace) of Meadville and Robert W. Brace (Trina) of Meadville; one sister, Janet S. Gard of Columbus, PA; one brother, Richard M. Senior of Bloomington, CA; six grandchildren, Michael Brace, Tasha Brace, Aaron Brace, Alec Brace, Mitchell King and Zackery King; and several nieces, a nephew, and aunts.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Kenneth A. Senior.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
