Naomi R. Moore

Naomi R. Moore, 91, of Meadville and a resident of Juniper Village since 2012, died there, Thursday, February 27, 2014.

She was born November 28, 1922 in Conemaugh, PA a daughter of Samuel and Ethel McCreary Yeager.  She married Vernon R. Moore May 9, 1943 and he preceded her in death April 23, 1997.

She was a 1941 graduate of Pleasantville Joint High School in Allenbank, PA and a graduate of Hammond Beauty School in Johnston, PA.  She was a homemaker and supported her husband in his career.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Order of Eastern Star and Order of Amaranth.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Cressler and her husband Clyde of Mechanicsburg, Mary Federico and her husband Phil of Manahawkin, NJ and Jan Feleppa and her husband Vince of Meadville; a son, Tim Moore of Boise, ID; seven grandchildren, Todd Cressler and his wife Shelly, Crista Stewart and her husband Eric, Mike Feleppa and his wife Ali, Matt Feleppa and his wife Brooke, Kelli Goshorn and her husband Jamie, Alicia Moore, and Robert Moore and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Yeager.

Calling hour will be Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville where the funeral and committal service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty Street or Juniper Village, 455 Chestnut Street, both of Meadville, PA 16335 or Asera Care Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Dr., Erie, PA 16505.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful loving and compassionate care provided by the staff of Juniper Village and Asera Care Hospice.
