Neil Leroy Stainbrook, 70, of Meadville, died Wednesday, February 7, 1968, at Veterans Hospital, Cleveland, where he had been a patient for the past week, following an illness of two months.
Mr. Stainbrook was born in Meadville October 13, 1897, a son of Charles H. and Mary Lewis Stainbrook.
He was a machinist for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and retired in 1948. He was a member of St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church and the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are four sons, Army M. Sgt. Neil Stainbrook, serving at Heideberg, Germany, Charles of Twinsburg, OH, Elmer of Meadville and David of Carmel Valley, CA; a stepson, Army CWO Lloyd E. Mead of Ft. Meade, MD and six grandchildren.
One sister died previously.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
