Neil M. Mcvicar

Neil R. McVicar, 63, of Conneaut Lake, PA and formerly of Clermont, FL, died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at his residence  in Conneaut Lake.

He was born April 21, 1940 in McKeesport, PA the son of Julius E. and Alice R. Wallace McVicar.  He married Barbara Milburn.  She died September 1, 1997 in Florida.

He was of the Baptist Faith.

Neil retired from Meadville Malleable/Amcast of Meadville after 22 years of service.  He also had a local bait shop and supplied worms to area bait shops.  He enjoyed looking for last golf balls and selling them to local golfers.

He was a former member of Harmonsburg VFD and the Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall.  He enjoyed vegetable gardening, bowling and walking the Park Golf Course.

He is survived by his mother, Alice R. McVicar of Monroeville; three daughters, Janet Swartzbeck (Jeff) of Mercer, PA, Becky McNulty (Jim) of Adamsville and Alice Harasty of Clymer, PA; four sons, Joe McVicar of Clermont, FL, John McVicar of Orlando, FL, George McVicar (April) of Mt. Dora, FL and Jay McVicar of DeBary, FL; one sister, Alice (Peach) Hickman of Monroeville; one brother, Donald McVicar of Washington; eleven grandchildren, Justin Swartzbeck, Lynn Swartzbeck, Daniel Harasty, Britney Harasty, Jeromy McNulty, Brandon McNulty, Gabriel McVicar, Juliet McVicar, Rebecca McVicar, John McVicar and Larry McVicar; and three nieces, Sharon Hickman, Susan Hickman and Krissy McVicar.

His father and a son, Robert McVicar, preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
