Neil N. Mullen

Neil N. Mullen, 89, of Meadville, died Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at the Meadville Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Simons, OH September 23, 1911 a son of Joseph Nelson and Cortie Fitch Mullen.  He married Dorothy South July 9, 1936 and she preceded him in death March 3, 1979.  He subsequently married Lois Loe Marr April 1980 and she preceded him in death September 20, 1999.

He was a graduate of Andover High School.  He was a front-end alignment mechanic first working in Andover, OH, then in Meadville and subsequently being self-employed at Denny's Corner in Hayfield Township, Crawford County, PA retiring in 1992.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer in Meadville and he enjoyed music, hunting and all types of sports.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Boozel (Veo) of Fort Wayne, IN; two step-sons, David Marr (Jacquelyn Jean) of Fairfield Glade, TN and Douglas Marr (Patsy) of Goshen, CT; two grandchildren, Kevin Boozel and Kristen Morales; seven step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet, Alliene and Leoda Mullen.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
