Neill Kennedy Overall

Neill Kennedy Overall, 72, of Meadville, died Friday, September 4, 1998 at home.

He was born in Akron, OH, May 12, 1926, a son of Neill M. and Anna Florence Kennedy Overall.  He first married Dorothy L. Overall and subsequently married Emma Louise Ellison Gallagher February 14, 1970.

Mr. Overall retired from Lance, Inc. in 1988 and had previously worked for Meadowbrook Dairy and American Greeting Card Co.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy in the Asia-Pacific theater.  He was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, where he was a former Lay Eucharistic Minister and a former Chairman of the Lay Readers.

He was a member and past master of Crawford Masonic Lodge #234, member and past Most Excellent High Priest of Solomon Royal Arch Chapter #191, member and former Thrice Illustrious Master of Timothy Adlen Council #60 all of Meadville; member of Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie and its Legion of Honor and member and past president and former Chaplain of Crawford County Shrine Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Ellen Marie Ash of Eureka, CA; two sons, Neill Kennedy Overall, Jr. and Dean Paul Overall, both of El Cajon, CA; a step-daughter, Mary Ellen (Bebe) Anderson of Meyersdale, PA; two step-sons, Thomas Ellison Gallagher of Guys Mills and Walter (Tad) Gallagher, IL of Meadville and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Christ Episcopal Church Columbarium.
