Nellie A. Wassum

Mrs. Nellie A. Wassum, of Long Beach, CA, formerly of Meadville, died at St. Mary Hospital, Long Beach, Tuesday October 26, 1965.  She was the widow of Edward C. Wassum, a former Erie Railroad engineer who died in 1937.

Mrs. Wassum was born at Meadville a daughter of Isaac and Julia Smith Wimmer.  She and her husband were married in 1902.

A member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Meadville, Mrs. Wassum moved out west following her husband's death.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Alice Snider and Mrs. Anna E. Pees of Long Beach; a niece, Mrs. Vera Stoddard of Cathedral City, CA; and two nephews, Theodore Smith and H. Chester Pees of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
