Nellie L. Joyce

Mrs. Nellie L. Joyce, 82, of Meadville, died Tuesday, January 13, 1959, at City Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born July 1, 1876, in Apulia, near Syracuse, NY, a daughter of Frank C. and Rosanna Smith Greenleaf.  She moved to Meadville in 1910.  She was a 49-year member of Stone Methodist Church and belonged to the Woman's Society of Christian Service and Beacon of Light Class of the Church School.  She also was a member of Crawford County Historical Society.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur C. (Blanche) Thoburn of Lahore, Pakistan and Mrs. Floyd E. (Florence) Jones of Meadville; a son, Ralph F. Joyce of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Trapani of Meadville and Mrs. Louise Secor of Syracuse, NY and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Smith Cemetery.
