Nellie Lord

Mrs. Nellie Lord, 97, of Meadville, died Sunday, October 20, 1968, at Smith Institute, Saegertown, where she had been a patient for one year.

She was born in Meadville on July 4, 1871, a daughter of Robert and Emma Dickson Andrews.  She was the widow of Richard Theodore Lord, who died in 1934.  Mrs. Lord had been employed in the Crawford County register and recorder's office and was later a secretary in the law office of her brother, Dickson Andrew, in Meadville.  She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church; Crawford County Historical Society; Golden Crown Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a past president of Knights of Templar Aux., Northwest Commandery 25 of Meadville.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Rebecca Lord of Meadville; two sons, Richard T. Lord of College Park, MD and C. Parker Lord of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Miss Ethel Andrews of Cleveland; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
