Nellie M. Nagel

Mrs. Nellie M. Nagel, 91, of Peaceful Rest Home, Cochranton, formerly of Meadville, wife of Ernest A. Nagel, died Thursday, June 7, 1984, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville after a lengthy illness.

She was born at Verona, Allegheny County, May 13, 1893, a daughter of Delbert and Luella Noel Moore.  Mrs. Nagel was raised at New Lebanon.  She married her husband, April 24, 1924.  Mrs. Nagel worked as a registered nurse at Spencer Hospital and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  She was a 1921 graduate of Spencer Hospital School of Nursing and received a special citation from the American Red Cross for her volunteer nursing service during World War II.

In addition to her husband, a resident at Peaceful Rest Home, survivors include a son, James H. Nagel of Mendkam, NJ; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Wilson of Warren, OH and three grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
