Nellie Terrill Purdy

Mrs. Nellie Terrill Purdy, 89, died Tuesday morning at Spencer Hospital after several weeks of failing health.

For the past 19 years, she had resided at the Home for the Aged.

Daughter of the late Halsey and Jane Hayes Terrill, she spent the early part of her life at Guys Mills.  She lived in Meadville four many years before going to live at the home.  Her husband, John Purdy, died in 1919.

She was active in her youth in the Guys Mills Methodist Church and later for a long period was associated with the Beacon Light Class of the Stone Church in Meadville.

She is survived by a son, Donald D. Purdy of Cleveland, OH and a granddaughter, Mrs. Morris Ort of Dayton, OH.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
