Nelson J. Wilmoth, 73, of Meadville, died Wednesday, May 10, 1989, at Meadville Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Wilmoth was born in Cambridge Springs on January 1, 1916, a son of Burdell and Maude Guerin Wilmoth.
He had been employed as a truck driver, he also drove bus for the former Meadville City Lines, and was previously employed by Greenville Steel Car and Mayflower Van Lines. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army in Asia and the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Meadville Veterans of Foreign War Post 2006 and the Eagles Aerie Lodge 429.
Survivors include a sister, Opel Sayre of Meadville and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment of his cremated remains was in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
