Nick J. Zoria, Sr., 82, of Meadville, went to rest with the Lord on Friday morning September 6, 2024, in the Embassy of Park Avenue, Meadville.
He was born in Meadville on March 2, 1942, a son of Nick and Philomena (Piazza) Zoria. He was a 1961 graduate of Meadville High School and served his country in the United States Army from 1964-1970.
He was employed as a sales manager at Troyer Farms for 30 years and previously was a manager at Super Duper Grocery Store for 11 years and was part owner of Vincent of Village Tavern with his brother Vincent.
Nick was a member of St. Mary’s Church, VFW Post #2006, ICC, Vernon Central Hose Co., Elks Lodge #219, PA Grocery Association, and PA Snack Food Association.
He is survived by four children, Susan Byrd and her husband Gary of Annapolis, MD, Nick Zoria, Jr. and his wife Jill of Cranberry Twp., Steve Zoria and his wife Lori of Meadville, and Laurie Smith and her husband Brandon of Canton, OH, five grandchildren, Amanda Byrd, Nicholas Zoria, Michael Zoria, Joshua Smith, and Madelyn Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Vincent Zoria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1085 Water St. Meadville with Father Chris Hamlett, Pastor of St. Philip’s Church as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery where Meadville VFW Post #2006 will render military honors.
