Norma L. Walker

Norma L. Walker, 67, of Meadville died Friday, April 26, 2019 at UPMC Hamot, Erie.  She was born in Meadville December 29, 1951 a daughter of Charles S. Walker, Jr. and Theresa Chess Walker Chase.  She had been married to Ernest Phillip Winger.

She was a 1969 graduate of Meadville High School and she worked as a counselor at Bethesda Children’s Home for the past 27 years.  Previously she had worked at American Viscose Corp and Elby’s.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, working with the children at Bethesda and watching movies.

She is survived by a daughter, Tonya Stadtmiller and her husband Chris of Meadville; twin sons, William C. Winger and his wife Susan of Meadville and Robert Phillip Winger and his wife Rose Jane Dorr of Cambridge Springs; her mother, Theresa Chase of Meadville; three grandchildren, Arizona Crabtree, Nicole Stadtmiller and Jessica Bair and her husband Justin; four great grandchildren, Nicholus, Scarlett, Alexus and Zach; two sisters, Elizabeth Henry of Meadville and Paula Sutliff and her husband Mark of Saegertown; three brothers, Chuck Walker and his wife Zebbra of Meadville; Edward Walker and his wife Sharon of South Carolina and Bryan Chase and his fiancée Lisa Clayton of Meadville; her step-mother, Nancy Walker of Meadville and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Ernest Phillip Winger and her father, Charles S. Walker, Jr.

Calling hours will be Monday, April 29th from 5-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 30th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Walter Clark of New Beginnings Church of God, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
