Norman E. Joe, 77, of Meadville, and formerly of Cheyenne, WY died Tuesday, October 19, 1999, at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born February 22, 1922 on Colorado Springs, CO, a son of the late George W. and Myrtle Siverling Joe. He had been married to the former Betty Jean Lockhart.
He was a long distance truck driver for the Teamsters Union, retiring in 1985 following more than 40 years of service. He lived in Cheynne, WY until his retirement and was an avid fisherman and domino player.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert ( Janice) Servey of Meadville and Mrs. David (Norma) Lockhart-Cloyd of Cheyenne, WY; two sons, John E. and James Norman E. Joe, both of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Louise Hermanson of Commerce, CO and Dorothy Hill of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren, Cynthia J., Robert T., Samuel S., Michael S., John P., Tommy, Lonnie, Zack, Lacey and Lisa; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jack L. and one brother, Lloyd Joe.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
