Norman J. Price

Norman J. Price, 91, of Albright Dr., Meadville and formerly of Ferndale, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community where he resided for the past 5 years.

He was born August 5, 1919 in Johnstown, a son of Norman J. and Blanche Stull Price.  He married Anita Graziano July 28, 1944 and would have celebrated 67 years of marriage.

A lifelong resident of Ferndale, he was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. stationed in Guam.  He attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.  He was employed for many years at the H.F. Lenz Engineering Firm.  He was a member of the ALMA Lodge #523, International Order of Odd Fellows, Johnstown and a founding member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Johnstown.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Anita of over 66 years, include two sons, Norman M. Price and his wife Mary Lynn of Meadville and David G. Price and his wife Susan of Dunn Loring, VA; two granddaughters, Nicole and Lindsey Price; a grandson, Zak Price; and two sisters-in-law, Roseline Mikesic and Joan Stralko.

Calling hour will be Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1621 Ferndale Ave., Johnstown where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Angelo J. Patti as Celebrant.

Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
